Obama Not the 1st........

I received an email, to which I quickly followed and it told of 5 other presidents who in fact were part black and this link below will give you the information to read. You can also access the links he has in his article to read up on these 5 men who led our country before Obama. It is his belief that saying Obama is the 1st black president, is just a bunch of hype to keep the tension going, to which I heartily agree.

Arizona vs Pittsburg

It's Super Bowl time once again and we have the 2 contenders getting ready to line up and play. There's big money in winning the Bowl, and even pretty good money being the looser. Just getting to the Super Bowl, give's you the Ring.........and whatever money is involved in making certain plays and such. Then you have the "Player of the Game", who gets a car and some money. So, you've got a lot going, being in the Bowl.
All the fans will get their parties, under way on Super Bowl day, and be rooting for their favorite team to win.......
I'm already on 2 pots, where I can win some money if the game ends in a certain score. That's probably the only reason I will watch it.........as I did last night, when that Baltimore player got hurt.......I usually wait until the last few minutes to watch and see how the score turns out.

Hamas Not In Totally..........

Hamas offered Israel an immediate week long truce Sunday, hours after Israel silenced its guns and grounded its aircraft, but the Islamic militant group conditioned long-term quiet on a complete Israeli withdrawal from the territory. Militant rockets peppered southern Israel ahead of the Palestinian truce offer, threatening to re-ignite three weeks of violence that killed more than 1,200 Palestinians — more than half of them civilians, Gaza officials said — and turned the streets of Hamas-ruled Gaza into battlegrounds. They aren't in total agreement, yet...........they want more involved in the truce.

America Getting Ready.......

America is gearing up and getting ready for the inauguration of it's first black president.

Excitement is swelling across the United States and the world as Obama prepares to be sworn in Tuesday as the nation's first black president witnessed by the largest inauguration crowd in history.
This is a traditional train ride taken by the Presidents on Inauguration Day. It is a momentous occasion, one that will start a new era in American history and hopefully a trend toward economic restructure.

Grasping For Straws

Lately, I've noticed that several car makers are trying to put together an economical, environmentally safe car. I've also notice that with these amenities, comes a loss of car. They are made smaller, and leave out many options for comfort. With one of the cars, it's as if you have to re-learn how to drive. If you cut the corner too fast, it might tip over, because of the steering apparatus and the tight tolerance.
If you ask me, there's not enough car between me and that big semi, that's in the lane next to me. But I guess you didn't ask me, and there's the issue..........I'm a small part of the public, who will always find something wrong with things. So, here lies the problem. Finding a car to suit the majority of the public and to hell with people like me. I can't blame the car makers, they have the government and the EPA down their throats. I imagine, before this decade is over, we will find that many things are going to become very different, and we'll just have to live with them.

Don't Breath Wrong.........

A security blanket has been draped over the US capital for Barack Obama's inauguration next week, and the threat level to the country's first black president is expected to remain high well beyond his swearing-in. It's estimated that 12,500 active troops and military reservists, thousands of metropolitan police as well as personnel from 57 departments around the nation are descending on Washington to protect against any potential terrorist attack during Tuesday's historic ceremony. a A record two million people will be attending, the Department of Homeland Security has designated Obama's inauguration a national special security event.
I've often wondered, why they say he's black...........when in fact he's black/white........now come on..............

How Rough Can This Be.........

Salwa al-Dali, 42, cooks food for her family in a house in Shati refugee camp in Gaza City . In the al-Dali family's two-room shack in the Shati refugee camp, 21 people — half of them relatives who fled the fighting — take turns sleeping because the family doesn't have enough mattresses. For lack of fuel, they cook on trash fires — paper and cartons collected in the neighborhood.

Palestinian families flee the Zeitun district of Gaza City after Israeli strikes. Israeli tanks punched their way towards Gaza City on Monday in some of the heaviest clashes of the war as Prime Minister Ehud Olmert vowed to hit Hamas with an "iron fist" unless it stopped firing rockets.

Spam........

When was the last time I got a spam on my email? What a laugh..........50 times a day......is the answer.....! It's a horrible mess, that advertising has created, and unfortunately it has gotten out of hand.
What's even worse, is the "porno" that has been placed in comment areas on blogs. These blogs have no intention of exploiting such graphic material. It would be nice if we could block these idiots, from placing that crap, on our comments. I actually had one website that would put porno directly onto my blog, without my approval. I would have to go to it every few minutes to remove the stuff, until I finally figured out how to keep them from posting it on my blog. Still they place it in the comments area, and I have to keep spamming it. I guess you have to take the good with the bad, but damned them.........for their crap!

People Across the Street

It's happened again and this time to my car. The people across the street can't seem to watch where their backing the cars/trucks out to. I was trying to leave my property, and heard the truck across the street, release his brake and put it into gear..........he started backing out on me, not even looking. Try as I could to get out of his way, I just couldn't do it in time...........This is the 3rd vehicle accident this household has contributed to me and my family's vehicles'. My poor maibox is just about destroyed by these people as well..........they have back into it so many times, i's leaning over in the ground..........

Famed Guitarist Found Dead.......

Guitarist Ron Asheton, a founding member of American punk pioneers the Stooges, was found dead this morning at his home in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Asheton was 60 years old.
Asheton, who'd stayed on the periphery in a variety of punk and hard rock bands over the years between Stooges tours of duty, it was especially sweet: the man, after all, ranked 29 on Rolling Stone's list of the 100 greatest guitarists of all time.
I was never into this type of music and I guess it took the "far out" people to really get into this kind of thing..........yet every time a musician, passes on, part of the American/World music heritage goes with them........I'm sure he will be missed like so many others......

Paris Looses Her Baubles.....

Paris, might want to reevaluate the invite list before her next house party.
Investigators are going over evidence and narrowing their search down to a number of unidentified acquaintance's of Hilton. Security camera footage showed a person dressed in a hoodie and wearing gloves. A perp entered through an unlocked door sometime between the evening hours of Dec. 19 and 4 a.m. the next morning and immediately located Hilton's secret stash of baubles—which included necklaces, watches, rings and some family heirlooms. Hilton, who was partying on the night of the break-in, since given police a list of people whom she thinks might be behind it. Last month's $2 million jewel heist from the hotel heiress' mansion causes belief that the burglar had a good grasp of the floor plans, knowing exactly where Hilton hid her valuables, prompting speculation it may have been an inside job.

Give It Up.........Oh Really........
