My Big Mouth

Yes, my big mouth doing the talking got me into picking up these pecans.
Now, I have to shell the suckers and put some up in the freezer.  It's funny how, while your shelling them, you can slip a half in your mouth, so easy.  I love pecans, and those pecan pies really pack the pounds on my body.

Fireplace Grates

I noticed that my fireplace grates are getting a bit worn, from the heat of the fires we've been building.  Some areas of our country are much colder than ours and I'm sure the fireplaces get more use.  It's always good to keep your home furnishings in top shape for the coming seasons.
Cold weather leaves little time to stock up and revamp certain units that will be needed for comfort and support.  The good thing about online websites with stores, is you can shop from your home and have everything shipped in no time at all.
You might think about shopping for your fireplace accessories and needs at the  Fireplace Grates at Northline Express  link in this post.  I visited the website and found many different items which can be purchased to enhance or replace your standard fireplace.  The grates are listed in different sizes and naturally have prices equal to the quality and sizes.  Give this online store a look and I'm sure you will be amazed at the designs they offer.

Have Fun

Backyard swings were the thing, when my children were growing up.  I remember putting one together for the last 2 children.  I was able to get it all done except for sitting it upright.  I had to call my husband out to help me erect it.  I'm sure you may be interested in playsets in stafford va  if you live in the local areas.  To shop for one, click on the above link and look at their designs.

Well!

It would seem that this tree became a problem for the next door neighbors.  They lost power for 4 days and had alot of work done to remove it.  No effort was made to contact me about it, and I kept quiet.  I have no home owner's insurance and knew the tree was my Mother's effort through the years.  I'm glad it's gone because of the danger, yet I feel they took what they thought was their's and removed it.  Today, it is but a stump about 4ft. high.

Garden

I drive through neighborhoods with huge homes and they call them estates.  The courtyards and garden are filled with  yard sculptures  to give a flair to the design.  Each home is set to a certain theme which gives plenty of design idea's for the gardens.  For information about such items, click on the above link.

Carpets

There's a spot that you just can't clean on your carpet.  You have some left over carpet from when you installed new.  So, you would like to repair the place where the stain is.  You can get a  carpet cutter  cut out the bad place and take a swath of new carpet, place it in the same hole. The carpet installers would have done the same thing, but now you accomplished something on your own.

Rustic

I'm sure you've seen this type of decor in the Texas areas.  The homes of farmers, rancher's and other country living people.  The decor has a laid back feeling with the warmth of the in and outdoors appeal.  You can find rustic furniture  to compliment your decor when you go online to do a search.  Most often the online stores will offer sale items and more than half the original price.

Texas Heat?

I doubt that with the heat we've been having one would need a pool heater.  I've seen pools in the spring and fall which had the steam coming up from them.  So, that would mean they were warm from a heater.  As with anything you use often, there comes the time when part wear out.  You can find raypak pool heater parts  to replace and repair the parts on your pool heater.

Garden

The town where I live has a rule, which you must meet when putting a swimming pool or pond in your yard.  You must have a fence installed around the area for protection.  I suppose the chance of a small child falling in is the reason for the rule.  The  outdoor garden fountains   are very lovely and give us a feeling of tranquility that only a work of art like these can do.  I would love to have one, but I'm sure the city would give me fits with all the different permits I would have to meet and buy.

No Win

Well, I tried to grow a vegetable garden this year, but the soil wasn't ready in time so, I just made do.  Then the rain stopped, and the ground dried out and cracked open.  Then it rained again and gave us the damned mosquitos, which are carrying the "West Nile Virus" again this year.  Now the grasshoppers have devoured what's left of the garden and the only thing left growing, is the okra.  Makes you just want to say "fuck it"!

Rain Barrel

I've noticed that there are new ideas for gardening as well as saving water.  It seems that some of our nation's people are utilizing such things as rain barrels to conserve rain water.  If you are into this type of clean water saving, then you might be interested in clicking on  rain barrel downspout   link for more information.

Yard

The rains of this season have brought many things we don't like.  Bugs and growing grass are some of the things we contend with.  Hey, I finally got the damned yard mowed, ok?  It's been growing since we have actually had rain this year.  I have to admit it was getting a bit high, but with a riding lawnmower, you do get lazy.
As for the damned bugs, it's also a problem of the season.  Mosquitos, are horrible this year as well as the grasshoppers.  I have bites all over my body from the mosquitos, and now the grasshoppers are eating up my vegetable garden, WTF.

Grass

Dang look at all that grass and weeds I need to hoe out of my garden!  It's a never ending battle and I'm damned tired.  The ground is so dried out and cracking that I have to water.  What happened to all that damned rain we were getting?  I just can't seem to win, always batting a 1000 and never really getting the game won.  :(

Rain?

Where's the rain, now that I've planted a vegetable garden?  It's been raining us out all spring and now that it's time for a good rain, it's nowhere to be found.  Not in our area of the state or country anyway.  It's all around us and there are people getting rain mixed with storms.  I don't want any storms, but could sure use a good soaking rain.  Hell the ground is cracking open and water restrictions are still in effect here in our part of the state and city.  What a damn mess!
