Bob?

The guys were all at a deer camp.  No one wanted to room with Bob, because he snored so badly...  They decided it wasn't fair to make one of them stay with him the whole time, so they voted to take turns. 
                                
The first guy slept with Bob and comes to breakfast the next morning with his hair a mess and his eyes all bloodshot. They said, "Man, what happened to you?  He said, "Bob snored so loudly, I just sat up and watched him all night." 
                                
The next night it was a different guy's turn. In the morning, same thing, hair all standing up, eyes all bloodshot.. They said, "Man, what happened to you? You look awful!  He said, 'Man, that Bob shakes the roof with his snoring. I watched him all night." 
                                
The third night was Fred's turn. Fred was a tanned, older cowboy, a man's man. 

The next morning he came to breakfast bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. "Good morning!" he said. They couldn't believe it.  They said, "Man, what happened?" 
                                  
He said, "Well, we got ready for bed. I went and tucked Bob into bed, patted him on the butt, and kissed him good night.  Bob sat up and watched me all night."

Cold Feet?

I don't like it when cold weather arrives.  My hands and feet become icebergs and I can't seem to get warm enough.  Putting on extra clothes just makes it hard to move around.  If you go into a place that is warm then you start pulling stuff off.  It's just not funny and I guess I could find something to gripe about no matter what season it was.  There you have it!

4th of July weekend starts off with this type of weather. Now, that's not funny!

Rain

 

I had been out shopping yesterday and noticed that the skies were getting dark in places and there seem to be a threat of wind and rain.  I looked east in the direction of my home, and there were huge dark clouds in that direction.  As I got closer in my car to my home town, the rains began.  It was as if they knew I was coming, since I had been griping about the rain always missing us.  Today, wasn't so and the rains would stop and start every few minutes.  I actually was able to get out of my car and walk into Walmart, before the down pour began.  Loud claps of thunder rack the inside of the building, as if I was standing outside.......so much so that it made me jump from being startled.  The loud rain began, and I knew there was no way I would be able to get back to my car, with my groceries, unless it slacked some.  Me and a few others stood at the front doors waiting.  Some ventured on out, taking the chance of getting struck by the fierce lightning, each time it thundered.  

Finally the rain slacked and I opened my umbrella and took off toward my car, with water swirling around my feet, getting them wet.  Just as I got to my car to put my groceries in, it started raining hard again.  I tossed them in as fast as I could, left the grocery cart sitting there and jumped in my car to safety.  The video above is sideways, but you can see how bad it was raining.  Wait for the end of the video.........

Pollen

How many of you are going through the dreaded pollen seasons?  Head full, eyes watery, ears full, headaches, stuffy runny nose and pressure that's a killer.  Well, then you know what I'm going through at the present and it's not pleasant.  To top it all off, the damn guy next door is outside mowing his yard.  That one really slays me and now I'll really be in bed if worse comes to worse.  Damn it!

Winter Days

What a beautiful sunny morning.  It's one of those days that the world looks so perfect.  The temps are not what we would like, but what can you expect of winter days?  Yesterday, being one of the "weekend days", was cloudy and cold.  It seems to happen this way on a weekend and during the work week the days are sunny and nice. 
Texas, has had a very weird winter, this year at the very start.  It ended 2015, with a bang of weather's blast.  We don't relish another holiday like the last one and hope that type of weather stays away from now on.
Our house seems to be colder on the inside than it is when you go outdoors.  Now, how can that be?  I suppose the insulation is not what we need for protection from the cold.  Yet, you would think, that if it's nice and warm outdoors, it would be the same inside?  Understand that one.

Our Holiday's

We've come and gone through the holiday's, which gave us a disaster among other things.  The weather hit hard on December 26th, and left the North Texas area in devastation from several tornadoes.  Many lost their lives along with properties and personal possessions.  It was a holiday to remember for our area, and one that won't be forgotten for many years.
The clean up has begun and the people affected have looked for ways to maintain, now that they must start over.  Now, that 2016 has begun, we look to a better year, with hopes of a good future.

Snow in the forecast! The TV weather gal said she was expecting 8 inches tonight.

I thought to myself, fat chance with a face like that! 

Weather!

Man, it's just the pits, living in the North Texas areas, when the weather takes a turn for the worse!  If  it's not violent storms of some sort, then it's horrible heat.
Today, it is cold, in the 30's and they predict snow!  Two days ago, it was in the 80's, the sun was shinning , birds singing, the trees budding and spring flowers are blooming.  Can you imagine what will happen to my peach trees, since they already have buds, forming blooms?  Texas weather!  If you don't like it, wait 30 minutes, it will change.  Today, I don't think so!

SOSDD

That seems to be the trend lately for the Dallas Cowboy's!  Same old shit different, day!  Consistent in loosing is part of the jokes when talking about "the boy's!"  It's a sad thing that they have been down trodden for so many years and become a joke in the circles of football.
The fans have held on even in the face of defeat and it was time for our fans to get the good feeling again.  They did for most of the season, but still fell to defeat along with the Cowboy's and that's not funny!  The even worse part of this is the feeling the actual players are feeling today.  But I suppose all those nice millions that they are making, can ease the pain, somewhat!

A Summer Thing

The seasons were developed for a reason and yet man has found a way to combat them and still remain comfortable.  That is as long as the HVAC unit stays operable and efficent.  There's always a need for the  Morrisville air conditioning  company as the weather changes from hot to cold.  A good checkup can be beneficial for the coming season, since it's always very hot in the areas.

While sitting out in the yard swing, I noticed how silly my cat was acting.  She thinks that being up there will keep her safe.  There's been plenty of chances to attack and she's always ready.  I haven't been able to catch a video of her, in the middle of a cat fight.

Spring Forward!

Here it comes again, that all dreaded time of year when we change our clocks to correct the time change.  As you know this has been in effect for several years, and we are subject to it's events as they happen.  So, come this Saturday at 12am, you will be on Daylight Savings Time, here in Texas that will be CDST.  I don't like it but then I'm just one small pebble on the beach.  Ha!

Well!

It would seem that this tree became a problem for the next door neighbors.  They lost power for 4 days and had alot of work done to remove it.  No effort was made to contact me about it, and I kept quiet.  I have no home owner's insurance and knew the tree was my Mother's effort through the years.  I'm glad it's gone because of the danger, yet I feel they took what they thought was their's and removed it.  Today, it is but a stump about 4ft. high.

You What?

Oh my, what would a  person do this type of thing for?  If a strong wind comes past him, what will keep him from falling?  Very unsafe in my opinion, but then I'm not the one sitting on the ledge.  Whew, scary to me!
