New Beginnings

Man, I hate this courtship thing you have to go through to find out what a person is like and if you want to keep being around them or not.  It's the pits to find someone your truly interested in, only to go through the whole process of getting to know them.  Why does it seem like it takes forever to get where you wanted to be in the first place?  Getting to know someone on a personal basis is tough.  I'm finding out once again after all these years about the quirks of the man/woman relationship beginnings.

We're There

Over five thousand years ago, Moses said to the children of Israel ” pick up your shovel, mount your asses and camels, and I will lead you to the promised land”.

Nearly 75 years ago, Roosevelt said, ” Lay down your shovels, sit on your asses, and light up a camel, this is the promised land”.

Now Obama has stolen your shovel, taxed your asses, raised the price of camels, and mortgaged the promised land.

THE DIFFERENCE IF YOU MARRY A TENNESSEE GIRL

Three friends married women from different parts of the country.

The first man married a woman from Wisconsin . He told her that she was to do the dishes and house cleaning.  It took a couple of days, but on the third day, he came home to see a clean house and dishes washed and put away.

The second man married a woman from Minnesota . He gave his wife orders that she was to do all the cleaning, dishes and the cooking.   The first day he didn't see any results, but the next day he saw it was better. By the third day, he saw his house was clean, the dishes were done, and there was a huge dinner on the table.

The third man married a girl from Tennessee. He ordered her to keep the house cleaned, dishes washed, lawn mowed, laundry washed, and hot meals on the table for every meal.  He said the first day he didn't see anything, the second day he didn't see anything but by the third day, some of the swelling had gone down and he could see a little out of his left eye, and his arm was healed enough that he could fix himself a sandwich and load the dishwasher. He still has some difficulty when he pees.

Tired

I have gone to the extreme trouble of moving, and getting away from some people who were always into causing or having drama around them.  They would try to suck me into this crap and I was so tired of all the stuff they kept reviving on a daily basis.  Still they try to pull my back into their social world, with "text messages", to keep me updated.  I at least have them held at this amount of distance.  It would be very nice and less stressful, if they just left me alone entirely. WTF

Finally

The people who have endured the past few days on board that Carnival Cruise ship, are finally home and off the damn thing.  It's an experience they won't soon forget.  I doubt they will ever get back on a cruise ship, considering the trauma they have been through.  I saw one person kiss the ground when finally walking of the ramp.  Some endured a trip on bus to get back to Galveston and get their cars.  I'm sure a shower and good meal were priceless to these victim's.

 The news media is daily listing the problems about our economy.  They tell of how the reals estate markets are having such a bad time.  The weather in recent months has played a part in wreaking havoc on certain areas of the US and causing major damage.  I see construction beginning to come back along with real estate sale.  NC has outstanding properties and this leads to certain people who handle jobs such as  cashiers nc real estate  finances.  Information can be found at the above link.

Cruise?

Anyone ready to go on a cruise?  Not me and they could give me all the free trips they wanted to these days.  I wouldn't take it because this sort of thing has been happening more and more lately.  From loosing power, catching on fire to running aground.  You have heard all type of horrifying stories of late.  I'll bet those people on board aren't considering this a luxury cruise today.

Supplies

I've been in warehouse work many times in my life.  It always came down to having proper tools to do the job.  You often could find several different types and sizes of tools.  One being a  gripper  to hold certain items when they were hot or being attached to moving parts.  Sometimes the weight of the item would need support for this type of work.

Guns?

This thing about guns is getting way out of control.  I can't believe how brazen some people have gotten.  I suppose it's a sign of the times that we are living in?  It's as though people are taking the law into their own hands because they don't believe the law will help them fast enough.  Then you have the crazies, who think that their drugs will get them through the onslaught of the war they are waging about something or someone who opposed them.  Hell, you can't even drive down the street anymore without worrying that the car next to you has some idiot, with a gun who thinks your in his way.  Damned!
