Why, do relationships have to be so screwy? You meet someone and hit it off. Each one likes the other one's personality and actions. You spend the first time trying to get some small bits of information about the person and what their about. If both are interested in further communications, you exchange phone numbers. At the end of the time together, you part going to your own places. Some people don't, some go to a place with that new person. If your smart and really want a lasting relationship, then you don't do that. You back off and take it slow. Now, this is the part that bothers me. Taking it slow can send mixed signals to the other person. It can scare the hell out of them, thus ruining the excitement of the first meet. It almost happened to me.
