Mirrors.........

I have seen mirrors on trucks and cars with a convex mirror  installed on the lower part of the larger one. This type of mirror, gives you a view which seems closer than it really is.  I often find myself wondering why they even put them on car mirrors in the first place?  There are certain companies, that use this kind of mirror to help with security and safety.  A good thing about using them, is that it keeps a person from having to get into certain physical positions, during an inspection of vehicles and other objects.
