Honeymoon Over?

I'm so tired of this crap.........He just won't do right. What's up with men, anyway? Why, do they always have to dictate what you do, and how you do it? Why, do they work so hard to get you and then stop, once they have you in their grips?
Damn it, they are so great to you the first few months and then they just start getting lazy and act as if you don't matter to them anymore. They make you feel like your just there to serve them. You know, washing the clothes, cooking, dishes, house cleaning.....all the above......well, what about the private time? Yeah, that's not supposed to stop.....but it's not long until, it ebbs away, like your age. I'm not a beauty, but I wasn't one when we got together, either. Things were a lot different, when that first touch and kiss happened. It's just not fair and I don't like being pushed aside, like an old shoe. I'm sure there are plenty of people out there just like me. They know how it feels, and don't like it either.

He's At It Again.............

I just can't understand, why, he thinks he can control me? I've been with him a year and a half and it's like, he's got it all down on how to control me and there's no other way, but his. If things don't go the way he wants them to go, he gets all sullen and pouty, making me pay for not catering to his every wish. I don't get much time out of the house to enjoy myself, but when I do,he's always right there, under me. If he's ready to go, then I have to stop what I'm doing and "GO"! If not, the pouting and hateful slurs, begin along with "he's not doing anything". He doesn't either.......he just sits around and watches TV and makes him something to eat or snacks on things. No matter if I cook a big meal, he will not eat a bite of it.
Now he's gotten to the point, he will sleep on the couch, rather than in the bed with me, which is great, cause I get the bed all to myself..........but this is just another "put down" on his part. This little "boy stuff" is crap and I'm really tired of it. He just don't understand that, it really is "my house" and "my life", and he's just there for the amusement. Which he has completely stopped, in the last year. The only thing he does, that really helps, is mow the lawn and buy the groceries. The rest I do.........how's that for greatness!
So, when I'm having fun doing something away from the house, he's right under me, and there's no hanky panky going on? What's his problem? Why can't he just enjoy the time with me and let it go at that? I do things he wants to do and let it go, I might not like them or want to do them, but I see it as a two way street. I'm just not happy anymore, with his crap, yet it's hard to give up the relationship, as it is. It has it's goods and bads.......as with all relationships.......oh, well........I just let him stew in his own brew, as usual.......he'll get glad in the same clothes, he got mad in........seriously!

Why Did I Change?

My sister and I, June 2007

Me early 20's
It's so degrading, to look at me now, in comparison to this picture. I enjoyed being young and appealing, and it really gave me the self esteem, I needed back in those days. I sure wonder where it all went, but then old age has a way of changing everything, you don't want changed. Sure wish I could have married a rich man, so, I could have kept some of the features, updated......lol

Good Joke

DEVIL IN THE CHURCH

One Sunday morning, everyone in one bright, beautiful, tiny town got up early and went to the local church. Before the services started, the townspeople were sitting in their pews and talking about their lives, their families, etc. Suddenly, Satan appeared at the front of the church. Everyone started screaming and running for the front entrance, trampling each other in a frantic effort to get away from evil incarnate. Soon everyone was evacuated from the church, except for one elderly gentleman who sat calmly in his pew, not moving... seemingly oblivious to the fact that God's ultimate enemy was in his presence. Now this confused Satan a bit, so he walked up to the man and said, "Don't you know who I am?" The man replied, "Yep, sure do." Satan asked, "Aren't you afraid of me?" "Nope, sure ain't," said the man. Satan was a little perturbed at this and queried, "Why aren't you afraid of me?" The man calmly replied, "Been married to your sister for over 48 years."

Mother's Day

I want to bring up a subject that cause's a lot of grief to some Mother's. Me in particular, because of my 5 kids, that don't remember their MOM...........well, actually maybe one or two will, but what happens to the other 3? You tell me..........? I'm at a loss for an answer........they just don't call, send a card or anything..........ain't that something?
What really irks me is that my oldest son's birthday is May 4th, so out of all of the other's you'd think he'd remember. Yeah, right.........I'll hold my breath on that one. I think his wife actually made him call me about 5 years ago, for Mother's Day.........lol. So, you can see, I'm not very popular with my kids.........can't imagine why? Maybe a good butt whipping or two, when they were younger, could have caused it...........either way......it happens.....almost every year.
As for my MOM, she's still alive and I either send her a card or call her.....mostly out of courtesy, than love..........Mom, never raised me and constantly pushed me away, down through my growing years. Therefore, I do what I have to do, to handle any family get-to-gathers and go on with my life. That's it and I don't like it, I never did, but you can't make someone love you, and I sure couldn't her. Life goes on and I'm sure the day will come when she's no longer around, but she never cared that I was around, so there you have it........

How Girly Are You?

You Are 28% Girly

You are a pretty hardcore tomboy, and a very free spirit.

Gender roles be dammed, you like to do things your way.

I can't help it, I just don't like the finicky type woman. If there's a job to be done, then I get to it. Why get attention from other's in that fashion. It just shows how insecure you are, and turns them off in the long run. Now, I know how to be a woman, and that's what counts, when it comes to my man.

What Type of Rose are You?

You Are an Orange Rose

You represent desire and enthusiasm

Your vibe: Sexy yet familiar

Falling in love with you: happens instantly - it's a fast ride

Are You Addicted to the Internet?

You Are 58% Addicted to the Internet

You're somewhat addicted to the internet - but who isn't?

You can keep it under check, and you're by no means a hermit.

I'm about as addicted as you could ever be, but I do have other responsibilities, that take authority of over my computer. My spouse, tends to pull rank very often and cause a casual venture from the computer room to the kitchen via the living room. "Oh" Are you hungry?

BlogUpp!

Are You Over Qualified?

It’s a toss up these days. Which way to go is a thing to ponder. You have so many ways, to search for a job and it gets even harder, to get one in the public realm. There are so many people out of work. Some by choice, some from lay-off’s, retirements, company closings. It’s a problem, many people endure, daily.

If your over 50 years of age, here comes the problem, right? You go to an interview, and what happens? You know all too well, what happened, when you get a letter saying, you were “over qualified”, for the position. I’ve been there done that.

Oh they say, they are an equal opportunity employer. Not so, if your not young and just starting out then they don’t want you. They want the dashing young men in the offices. The cute sexy, tailered young ladies, have to be on the front desks, to cater to the executives. Administrative assistant, consists of a well dressed, college professors, with 1 to 2 masters degrees in business administration, under the age of 40.

If you don’t have a good background in some high powered originization, by the time your in your 40’s, good luck on the position, you will be offered. Many older people, are thankful to be accepted for medial jobs, that rarely pay more than $7.00 to $10.00 per hour.

“Over qualified”, is a term used to really say, your “too old” and we want someone younger in the position. I’ve also, been told that, I probably wouldn’t stay with the job, because I wouldn’t be getting the pay I had been accustomed to. So, they decided not to hire me, based on that. They never ask if you just want a job closer to home, so you don’t have to drive so far. They never ask if your just wanting to supplement your social security or your spouse’s income. It’s always, “wow, your really qualified for a better position, than this one”, why do you want this job? Not very often do you find an company that wants an employee, experienced and mature enough to appreciate a good paying job. It’s very easy to get discouraged, when trying to get employment at an older age. I’m sure many of you have suffered the same indignities, I have. It would be nice to be able to speak out without reprecussions. I know there are advocates out there, but they’re never where we need them to be, when it’s our problem happening. It’s very embarrassing, to have to ask for help, after all that we’ve been through in the past years. We’ve worked hard and deserve respect, that we don’t get. Yet, we keep trying, rather than give up.

A Lazy Day

It’s been an eventful beginning of the week. We’ve had bad weather and the hail in some areas were golf ball size. They even said there was tornado, in the northern part of the DFW area. So, it’s still cloudy, but they say we are out of the rain for a day or so, then the chance again in a day or so. It turned cool again, with the cold front that came through so, that makes me want to stay inside where it’s cozy.

Having this computer is just the very thing to keep me occupied. Not only does it give me something to do, I can always connect to the outside world as long as my DSL stays working. I’ve had a few times when the Phone tech’s would have to come out and re-install a new card down in the main box on the next street. The tech says that with all the boards that are running in the box, it stays warm in there and the heat has an effect on the DSL card. Either way, it’s a problem for everyone on this street and local area when this happens. Sure cuts into my blogging, unless I can make it to the library.

Today, though is a good day and I’m hoping it stays that way. So far so good.

Medicare Reforms?

This letter was to me from the State Representative in my area. I'm so glad I'm healthy.

Thank you for contacting me regarding funding for the Medicare Advantage program. I appreciate having the benefit of your comments on this issue.

Although passage of the Medicare Prescription Drug, Improvement, and Modernization Act of 2003 (P.L. 108“173) presents a framework for reform, the Medicare program is still in need of improvement. Medicare's largest expense”the Hospital Insurance Trust Fund”provides funding to cover hospital care. According to the 2007 Annual Report of the Hospital Insurance and Supplementary Medical Insurance Trust Funds, the Hospital Insurance Trust began running deficits in 2004, and unless changes are made, the fund will be exhausted by 2019.

The Medicare program's long-term financial prognosis can be attributed to a number of factors, including an aging population, less healthy participants, and the escalating cost of healthcare. In addition, prior to the enactment of P.L. 108“173, the Medicare program had not undergone significant reform since 1965”the year it was championed by President Lyndon B. Johnson as part of the Great Society. As such, Medicare has been unable to keep pace with four decades of healthcare changes”operating as a less than optimal program.

To strengthen Medicare and ensure that it meets the health care challenges of current and future American seniors, we must continue our reform efforts and develop long-term solutions to the program's antiquated policies. We must encourage market-oriented policies that foster competition and lower costs; increase provider and consumer responsibility and accountability; and promote cost efficiency, fair access, and preventive health measures.

Medicare Advantage Plans have been instrumental in providing seniors with affordable health care. I believe that it is important for seniors to continue to have access and choice in their Medicare Advantage Plans. Although I am not a member of the Senate Finance Committee, which has jurisdiction over this issue, you may be certain that I will keep your views in mind as the full Senate considers proposals to reform the Medicare program during the 110th Congress.

I appreciate having the opportunity to represent the interests of Texans in the United States Senate. Thank you for taking the time to contact me.

Sincerely,

JOHN CORNYN
United States Senator

Charlton Heston Dies......

One of the greatest actors has died. Charlton Heston died in Beverly Hills with his wife Lydia by his side. The two had been married for 64 years. It's hard to see how the years have taken it's toll on such a handsome man. He really looks tired in this picture. Here, they are seen at a "90 Stars for 90 Years" party in 2002.

Pro Wrestling?

I'm sure you know this wrestler. The one with the shaved head is his brother. I remember watching wrestling when I was younger. I even took the kids, to the old "Sportatorium', here in Dallas, back when it was still around. Unfortunately, they've long since shut it down and torn it down.
This will tell my age, but I remember the great "Pepper Gomez" and "Rito Romero', back in the 50's and 60's. Not to mention, the great Von Erich's and there was Jake the Snake, and so many more.
I don't know about why people like it so well, but they do! It's been around for years, and it's still going strong today. For some un-godly reason, my spouse, has to watch it, every Friday evening, or feels abused. Abused is not the word for it, have you seen some of the tricks they pull? All this fake hitting, and fake blood........lol, what a deal. These costumes they come up with really catches the crowd's eyes. Look at this "bout" with two brothers, who have "hated each other" for years. Yeah, right! What a stage for a show! They sure make a lot of money, I guess I'm just jealous I didn't think of it first. But then, that would have been a few years back, right?

Medical Billing Service

There are doctors' offices, that have their insurance clerk on site to benefit the patients, when they come into the office. You also, have the doctor's offices that send their insurance/medicare work to outside companies.
A claims department processes many claims in a one day period. Working for a claims office, you find many patients can't get adequate medical attention or supplies, to handle their medical needs. Don't even mention the prescriptions that fall in the cracks, because of lack of medical benefits. The Medical Billing Company helps provide adequate records and evaluations of the patient files, to further the process between hospitals, pharmacy's, doctor's, laboratories, and rehab facilities.
Preferred Health Medical Billing Company, has provided good medical billing assistance, since 1997 and is insured to protect your individual offices' and patients. Contact them today for a quote on services your office needs to facilitate your medical benefits.

A Thanks to You.....

This is a humble regard for someone who took me under their wing and so graciously offered to teach me how to blog! Mind you, I'm "eating crow" here. Mainly because, I took advantage of this person's, unselfish offer and let them teach me the basics.
At first I was so overwhelmed, with all the information, that I hung onto this person, like a "hungry child". I couldn't get it right, and so I'd cry to them in desperation and fear of messing up. Boy, did mess up! Not just once but many times. Two of my blogs, went to hell because of it.
This person, had called me their "friend", which I accepted completely. That was until I overstepped my boundaries,(which I didn't know were there) and over taxed them by constantly asking for opinions or help. I had helped this person when they had problems, so I didn't think it was a problem for me to seek help, in return. I got dissed, by the person, calling themselves, "my friend"! "Hurt", is not the word to describe, my feelings, right at that moment. I gritted my teeth and bit into my words as I wrote back, my growling essay. By the time we both were finished, so was the "friendship". I totally walked away, and left this person to itself, to "stew in it's own brew". Later in the month when, we ran into each other, I pulled away, from their advances, in an effort to try to say, "they were sorry". My book, doesn't see "friendships" with boundaries, if it's truly a friendship. Their world, obviously was different from mine, so I let it go. Chalked it up as a lost cause, and moved on.
I still want to give credit, where credit is due, and say that this person, did give me very quality information and help. To that I say "thank you".

This Crazy Cat!

What a dumb crazy cat I have. He's just too energetic for me, and still acts like he's a baby. (8 months old) Since he's coming into manhood, he thinks he's the number 1 cat on the block. Not so.......he's way down on the list and since it's his yard, I'd say he has a few fights on his paws! Talking about lazy, this cat has it down pat. I believe he sleeps during the day, so he can keep us awake most of the night. It's his personal goal in life. Either way, he's here, he's ours and we're stuck with him.....lol.
