Ike Headed For Texas & Mexico

Trees are heavily battered during the passage of Hurricane Ike ... Camaguey, Cuba didn't fare as well......heavy damage and flooding cause over 900,000 to evacuate.
They say that Ike
could strengthen into a massive Category 3 storm before slamming into Texas or Mexico this weekend. At 5 p.m. EDT today, Ike was just off the coast of western Cuba, 90 miles west-southwest of Havana. It was moving west-northwest at 10 mph and its maximum sustained winds were 75 mph.
Dallas, gets ready for more evacuees, pending the onslaught of Ike to the coast of Texas. The Dallas convention Center, has been home to many since Gustav, came through Louisiana. The volunteers, are getting more cots and supplies set up expecting more to come into the area to get away from Ike. Authorities in
the impoverished Rio Grande Valley and tried to convince tens of thousands of illegal immigrants that they have less to fear from the Border Patrol than from the storm.
